About this story: Joseph, Part 2 (Genesis 42–50)

Famine drives Joseph’s brothers to Egypt, where they bow to the governor without knowing him. Joseph tests whether they have changed, and Judah offers himself in place of young Benjamin. Joseph reveals who he is, forgives them, and brings the whole family to safety: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.”

Part 2 of 2. Kids play Joseph, Judah and their father Jacob, make 4 choices, and stop 3 times to look at forgiveness through different ways of knowing. The grown-ups notes point out that forgiving someone never means a child has to stay close to a person who isn’t safe.
